About Our Site

CrispySalad was formed to offer a unique reference point on inspirational ideas and advice for creating delicious salads.

For way too long the salad has been treated with contempt by people who think that you cannot have the word salad in a sentence unless it is quickly followed by the word boring!

The CrispySalad website set out to show people that salads do not have to be boring and that they do not always consist of lettuce leaves, cucumber and celery. In fact, it is possible to have meat with your salad, and I don't just mean chicken!, along with a host of other ingredients that many people would not automatically associate with salads.

The aim of the website was to also show how salads from different parts of the globe can differ from country to country and to encourage people to try making salads with ingredients that they may not otherwise have considered. There are even salad dressings made from beer, which may entice some men to try the healthy option!

So, if you're the kind of person who breaks out into a yawn at the slightest mention of a salad for lunch, go to the crispysalad website and let yourself be inspired. You'll never think of salads as being boring again.

As if that wasn't enough, we also have sections devoted to salad dressings and no, we are not talking mayonnaise here we are talking about dressings to get your taste buds tingling with excitement.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.
